About Me.

Welcome to CookAxe — where every recipe tells a story.

I’m Chef Rosa Bell, the heart and hands behind CookAxe. I’m not a celebrity chef or a contestant on a fancy cooking show—just a woman who found her way in the world through the hum of a stove, the scent of garlic in olive oil, and the comfort of feeding the people I love.
My love affair with cooking began in my grandmother’s kitchen, a tiny space that somehow always fit the whole family. She taught me that food isn’t just about ingredients and timing—it’s about care, connection, and memory. I still remember the way her hands moved when she kneaded dough, like she was coaxing stories out of flour.
Years later, after life pulled me in many directions—from a short career in bookkeeping to raising two beautiful (and very hungry) kids—I found my way back to the kitchen. I started cooking with more intention, collecting recipes like treasures, and tweaking them to reflect not just tradition, but also my voice.
CookAxe was born from that love—a place where recipes are shared like secrets between friends. It’s not about perfection, it’s about joy. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just figuring out what “simmer” means, I’m so glad you’re here.

Why CookAxe?

The name might surprise you. An axe is a tool—strong, reliable, and meant to shape. Cooking, to me, is just that. It shapes our days, our traditions, and our relationships. CookAxe is about wielding that power with intention—cutting through the noise, getting back to honest food, and building something nourishing.
Plus, I’ve always liked a little edge in the kitchen.

A Little Extra

CookAxe isn’t just a blog—it’s a living scrapbook of flavors, family, and finding your rhythm in the kitchen. It’s a gentle invitation to slow down, cook with feeling, and feed your people (and yourself) with care.
So stay a while, explore the recipes, share your stories, and maybe even start some new traditions of your own.
